The Kostal Piko 7.0 grid-tied inverter is a three-phase converter that transforms direct current from solar panels—with a maximum power of 7,000 W—into alternating current with a voltage of 400 V and a frequency of 50 Hz. This allows each array to be positioned at different angles of exposure, making the best use of the site’s orientation.

The device is equipped with numerous control systems and Wi-Fi monitoring capabilities for remote control and monitoring of the device’s performance. A graphical display shows the inverter’s performance data, and a three-button keypad is provided for control. It features built-in protection systems, a sensor for measuring its own electricity consumption, an internal data storage device, and a web server for the monitoring system. For data exchange, a choice of Ethernet, RS485, and SO-4x connections is available.

The Kostal Piko 7.0 grid-tied inverter is built using transformerless technology with convection cooling. The ambient temperature can range from -20°C to +60°C, allowing the device to be installed outdoors provided it is protected from direct exposure to moisture.
